- Prompt: In our most recent reading of Life of Pi, Pi expresses that he is a Hindu and mentions several Hindu gods from which he finds inspiration. Conduct a short research assignment over one of these Hindu gods, and express their role within the world religion of Hinduism. In this research assignment, be sure to stay as objective as possible when conducting your research. Additionally, be sure to provide proper in-text citations and a works cited entry (MLA) for the source(s) that you utilized whilst conducting your research.

Discussion over Film Version of Life of Pi
- What are some major things that you noticed that are not "up-to-par" in relation to the novel?
- What do you believe these differences exist?
- As far as making a film and making money off of a film (i.e., keeping it entertaining enough to hold the attention of the audience and receive good ratings), is it feasible to include each and every aspect of the novel into the film?

- We will only be reading chapters 017-022 today in class.
- The guided reading questions cover chapters 017-036, and you will need to be sure that you do not lose them over the course of spring break.
